Update
The increase in API traffic was due to several overzealous users abusing the API that just happened to coincide with the deploy. We've temporarily black listed them for the time being. It was a bit of a red herring, but we're back on track now and should be finished soon. :)

We're seeing a slight increase in api.particle.io latency and elevated error rates for device handshakes related to recent code changes, we are currently investigating.

We are continuing the previous maintenance window.
We're doing a few releases this Monday evening at 7pm PDT on August 1. Each will have minimal downtime.
One of the releases will be the billing application. It requires a sizable data migration which will require up to an hour of downtime. During this time Photons and Electrons will be able to connect to the cloud as well as send and receive data, but these features won't be available until the migration is finished:
- Setting up new SIM cards.
- Activating or deactivating SIM cards.
- Setting SIM limits
- Examining data usage
- Pausing SIMs that hit their hard limits
- Creating new products or managing existing products on the Dashboard at https://dashboard.particle.io
Most services will be available and will not experience any abnormal delays.
We'll keep you all posted as the migration/deployment progresses.
